Presidents from the 10-Nation Economic Community of Central African States (ECCAS) pledged in an extraordinary meeting to create an $87 million emergency fund to fight Islamist militant group, Boko Haram.

Gabon’s President Ali Bongo Ondimba, who attended the one-day summit in Cameroon, expressed that he and his counterparts from ECCAS are committed to effectively combating terrorism, and the emergency fund would facilitate their mission, News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reports.

The members of ECCAS are:

Angola
Burundi
Cameroon
Central African Republic
Chad
Congo
Democratic Republic of Congo
Equatorial Guinea
Gabon
Sao Tome and Principe

  3. Good but hope the money will be used for the right cause and not go into a wrong pocket and then we here a parliament has been set to investigate the issues .
    And then no one has anything again .
