Some suspected hoodlums in the Lekki Ajah area of Lagos State attacked one Mr. Srivastava Kumar, 45, an Indian national who later died in a hospital.
The deceased was attacked in Eleko Ajah along Lekki Epe expressway while working on a farm.
Kummar, in the cause of the robbery was stabbed on the chest and hand.
The Indian national who is the plant manager of a food processing company, was taken to the St. Nicholas Hospital on the Lagos Island for treatment where he gave up the ghost. The incident was however reported at the Akodo Police station .
It was gathered that a surgical operation was carried out on him but he did not survive.
According to a staff of the hospital who pleaded anonymity, the deceased was brought in with injuries on his hand and chest as a result of knife stabs and in the process his family was called upon to witness the surgery.
The deceased did not survive because he lost so much blood.
The Lagos State Police Public Relations Officer, DSP Kenneth Nwosu, while confirming the incidence said the case has being transferred to the state Special Anti-Robbery Squad for further investigation.
Nwosu said the security man with the decease on the day of the attack has been fingered as the prime suspect.
