Bobbi Kristina Brown Still in Coma on 22nd Birthday

Bobbi Kristina Brown is still fighting for her life on her 22nd birthday.

Bobby Brown and Whitney Houston's daughter, who turned 22 today, remains in a medically induced coma after she was found unresponsive in a filled bathtub in her Roswell, Ga. home Jan. 31.

Although the family hasn't provided any specific details about her current condition, Whitney's sister-in-law, Patricia Houston wrote in a post Wednesday, "Today is Bobbi Kristina's 22nd birthday and we ask you to continue to keep her in your prayers as she is still fighting the battle of her life."

Bobbi's boyfriend, Nick Gordon, also paid tribute to her, tweeting, "Happy Birthday baby I wish I was there with you to hold you and be by your side." So far, he has reportedly not been allowed to visit Bobbi in the hospital due to a dispute with her father, according to People.

Last week, doctors attempted to remove Bobbi from her medically induced coma, but she suffered violent seizures, according to People. Bobbi was quickly sedated back into the coma. A medical expert told the mag at the time that that was not necessarily bad news. "Seizures indicate that the patient is not brain dead," Neurologist Eli Zimmerman of Massachusetts General Hospital said. "There has to be some brain activity."

Dr. Zimmerman, who hasn't treated Bobbi, added that although 28 days is "a long time" for her to be unconscious, there's a medical reason to keep her in a medically-induced coma. "Patients are sedated – put into a medically-induced coma – because doctors want the brain to have to do as little as possible," he said. "This way, the brain can heal."

Today marks the 33rd day she's been on life support. In a statement Tuesday, Bobby said, ""We continue to request privacy in regards to my daughter's medical condition. We thank everyone that supports Bobbi Kristina and God is hearing our prayers."
