Timothy Robenhorst will hope that he’ll never have to be told that his son is a bully again after dealing out a particularly stiff punishment.
Mr Robenhorst, from Green Bay, Wisconsin, was disappointed to hear that his son Kayden had been mistreating a classmate and subsequently forced to conduct him a gruelling workout programme, do gardening jobs and forced Kayden to publicly confess to the wrongdoing.
The physical side of Kayden’s punishment involved being woken up at 4:30am and made to do 50 push-ups on his fists.
Next he had to perform 10 harder, incline push-ups before running. Wisconsin temperatures are frequently still below freezing in the early house.
The punishment didn’t end there, and Kayden will be doing landscaping work at two houses that his father apparently owns for an unspecified length of time.
His father also said that he would have to apologise to his victim in front of his entire class. He also set a photo of him and his son holding a sign with the details of the punishment on it as Kayden’s profile and cover photos on facebook.
A comment under Kayden’s name on the profile picture reads: “This is what happens when dad finds out you are being a bully at school. My golden rule is you don’t start fights or touch anyone unless they lay their hands on you first.
“Feel free to tell Kayden how wrong it is to be bully or share stories to help him understand the effects of these actions on the victims.”
The photo has been shared more than 1,000 times.
This is not the first incident of parents publicly shaming children recently after a mum posted a picture of a 'sick letter' she had written to her daughter's PE teacher which in fact informed the teacher that 'Olivia is perfectly fit and will' and could possibly do with a few extra laps.
