“Accordingly, the Command has risen to the challenge with renewed determination ever than before to smoke them out from their hideouts. Already, 92 suspected cultists of different groups have been arrested with assorted firearms and ammunition, cutlasses, charms and other lethal weapons.
“In a related development, on 23/03/2014 at about 1630hours at Police Special Checkpoint, Akpajo in Eleme, luck ran out of a five man armed robbery gang who were on their way to PH from an armed robbery operation in Akwa-Ibom state.
“I wish to warn these miscreants to turn a new leaf and recant cultism but if they are ready to test our renewed commitment, they should be ready to face the full wrath of the Law,” the Police said.
