» Jihadi John's family moved to a safe house claiming 'there's no proof' he is the ISIS killer
The family of Jihadi John has moved out of their home into a secret safe house as they claim there is no proof the butcher's true identity is Mohammed Emwazi.
Jasem Emwazi, 51, who works at a farm depot north of Kuwait City, is believed to have moved his closest relatives to a secret address.
Friends of the family say they have moved away to "stay away from the public glare" in the last few days.
Jamal Esmail, office manager at Al-Hashah legal firm, confirmed Jasem Emwazi was no longer living at the family home.
He said: "The father is no longer at the family home. We know where he lives but we cannot say.
"He has moved somewhere else. Our lawyer (Salem) is with him now. He will be with him all day."
The family have hired a firm of lawyers in downtown Kuwait City as they claim there is "no proof" his son is IS executioner Jihadi John.
It has previously been reported that Mohammed's mother, Ghaneya, 47, recognized her son on the video showing American journalist James Foley being beheaded. This is being denied by the family.
Speaking through lawyer Salem al-Hashah, he said: "I am not sure that [Jihadi John] is my son.
"There is no proof that the man shown in the videos and photographs is my son, as the media has reported in the last few days."
He added: "I have a message for the Kuwaiti people: there are a lot of lies in the media. I feel there are some people who believe everything that has been published in the media, and I feel sad about that.
"That is why I have appointed Salem Al-Hashah as my lawyer to protect me. I want to say to the people of Kuwait that I am one of you."
Mr Emwazi has also threatened to launch legal action "against all the people who have fabricated bad stories".
His lawyer said no foreign intelligence services had tried to contact Mr Emwazi - the only international calls he has received are from overseas media outlets.
A friend of Mr Emwazi's brother Sabah said: '"Jasem is keeping himself hidden because he doesn't want to be bothered by the media or the public - he is not being made to hide by the police."
Sabah was a soldier in the Kuwaiti Army before the 1990 Iraqi invasion and was held hostage in Iraq during the Gulf War, according to the friend.
Jihadi John has been made a "celebrity" by IS since he made his first confirmed appearance on a video in August last year showing US journalist James Foley being killed.
He has now become the world's most wanted man with the FBI, CIA and MI6 working to capture or kill the IS poster boy.
