Madonna along with a host of other celebrities have weighed in to the Dolce & Gabbana debate saying the duo should “think” before they “speak” when expressing views about same-sex families and IVF.

Dolce & Gabbana, the fashion designer duo, said that IVF babies were "synthetic".

Read her comment below:

"All babies contain a soul however they come to this earth and their families. There is nothing synthetic about a soul!! So how can we dismiss IVF and surrogacy? Every soul comes to us to teach us a lesson. God has his hand in everything even technology! We are arrogant to think Man does anything on his own. As above so below! Think before you speak.,,,,,,,,,,, ‪#‎livingforlove‬" -Madonna

Sir Elton John called for a boycott of the brand after he and his husband David Furnish both have two children from IVF. Stars including Martina Navratilova, Courtney Love and Ricky Martin are supporting the songwriter.

Responding to the boycott calls, Gabbana later said in a statement that "it was never our intention to judge other people's choices. We do believe in freedom and love."

He added: "We firmly believe in democracy and the fundamental principle of freedom of expression that upholds it. We talked about our way of seeing reality, but it was never our intention to judge other people's choices."
