Manchester United are set to be punished further for their disciplinary problems as they face an FA fine for having six players disciplined in their 2-1 defeat to Arsenal on Monday.

United currently have two players suspended with Jonny Evans having served one match of a six-game ban for spitting at Newcastle striker Papiss Cisse, and Angel Di Maria missing Sunday's clash with Tottenham as punishment for his red card against the Gunners.

And United will be fined 25,000 pounds after Ander Herrera, Marouane Fellaini, Ashley Young, Marcos Rojo, Di Maria and Adnan Januzaj's names all entered referee Michael Oliver's book in their FA Cup quarterfinal loss at Old Trafford.

FA rules state that clubs face an automatic fine if six or more players are shown yellow or red cards in the same game and United reached that mark when substitute Januzaj was booked for diving.

It will be the first time United have been fined by the FA during Louis van Gaal's reign for their ill discipline.

However, they have had five players sent off this season, with Tyler Blackett, Wayne Rooney, Chris Smalling and Luke Shaw all being dismissed earlier in the campaign.
