Troops of the Nigerian military on Monday recaptured Bama, the commercial centre of Borno State.
The Defence Headquarters said the operations to retake the second biggest town in Borno State started on Thursday, last week with the Air Force pounding the bases of Boko Haram terrorists, which brought the town under its control last year September.
