Barely eleven days after the kidnapped Orekoya’s three children were abducted by their new maid in Lawanson Road,Itire Lagos, another 3 year-old girl has been kidnapped.
This time around, the 3-year-old, Oluwabunmi Ajelero, was reportedly abducted from the Surulere Baptist Church, located on 52/54, Ojuelegba road, Surulere, Sunday.
The toddler as gathered, was reportedly abducted by an unidentified man who rode off in a motorbike.
However, Vanguard gathered that the family received a call yesterday where a male voice informed that little Bunmi as she is popularly called , was in their custody.
The caller was said to have demanded for an undisclosed ransom before the child would be released.
A relative to the family , Adejuwon Adediran who spoke with Vanguard, explained that : “Some strange people came into the church on Sunday , met the children who were playing and went away with Olubunmi”..
Asked how Olubunmi managed to stray from her parent’s watch, Adediran explained: “Adults have their session while children have theirs. At the end of the service, children usually leave their session for the adult ssession where they would be playing while waiting for the parents to close. It was in the process of waiting that the strangers came and picked my brother’s daughter, Olubunmi” Police sources hinted that investigation into the abduction of the baby had begun, expressing optimism that she would be rescued .
